Coventry City have confirmed the signing of Frank Onyeka on a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee, DAILY POST reports.

The Nigeria international joined City on loan from Brentford in January.

Coventry City have now triggered the option in his contract following the opening of the summer transfer window.

Onyeka played a key role in helping Frank Lampard’s side win the Sky Bet Championship title, and securing promotion to the Premier League.

The 28-year-old scored once in 14 league appearances for the Sky Blues.

The midfielder’s permanent deal will come into effect from Wednesday 1st July.
