Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan continued her impressive form by winning the opening heat of the women’s 100m hurdles at the Paris Diamond League on Sunday.
The former world champion crossed the finish line in 12.39 seconds, recording the fastest time in her heat under legal wind conditions of +0.4m/s.
Amusan delivered a smooth and confident performance, pulling away from the rest of the field in the final stages of the race.
Dutch athlete Nadine Visser finished second with a season-best time of 12.44 seconds, while Jamaica’s Demisha Roswell came third in 12.46 seconds.
The victory is another positive result for the Nigerian hurdler as she continues her preparations for major competitions this season and strengthens her bid for another Diamond League title.
