Nigerian singer and rapper Jesse Garba Abaga, popularly known as Jesse Jagz has aired his thoughts on gambling and online betting, calling out his colleagues for promoting betting brands.
While speaking via his X handle, Jagz stated that celebrities who endorse or promote gambling should be “stoned”. He expressed his strong distaste for the practice, slamming celebrities who endorse it.
“We suppose to dey stone any artist promoting bets and gambling,” he stated.
According to some statistics, over 60 million Nigerians between the ages of 18 and 40 actively engage in sports betting and gambling, making it one of the largest markets in Africa.
