World Cup 2026: Queiroz refuses to decide future after Ghana’s elimination

Ghana head coach, Carlos Queiroz has said he is yet to take a decision on his future following the Black Stars elimination from FIFA World Cup 2026.

The West Africans will return home after losing 1-0 to Colombia  in their Round of 32 fixture at the Kansas City Stadium on Saturday.

Jhon Arias scored the decisive goal for Colombia in the 14th minute.

Ghana lacked sharpness in the final third and failed to register a single shot on target.

Queiroz signed a short-term contract with the Ghana Football Association, GFA, in March following the sacking of Otto Addo.

The 73-year-old refused to be drawn into discussions regarding his future after the Black Stars exit.

“Next for me, it’s to have a glass of water, relax after this game, refresh for the next morning, and start making other decisions,” Queiroz told Sporty TV.
