Founder of the Iru Ekun Security Network and prominent Yoruba nation agitator, Mr. Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has declared his unwavering loyalty to President Bola Tinubu, stating that he owed the President a lasting debt of gratitude for facilitating his return from exile.
Speaking in a video that has since gone viral on social media, Igboho said he would continue to support the Tinubu administration because the President “forgave” him and ensured his return from what he described as a lonely period of exile.
The Yoruba nation campaigner maintained that he would remain steadfast in his support throughout Tinubu’s time in office, stressing that he could never betray someone who had stood by him during one of the most difficult periods of his life.
“I will continue to appreciate and support the government of Bola Tinubu for forgiving me and restoring me back from a lonely exile. I will support him for eight years because I am not an ingrate,” he said.
The activist also launched a scathing attack on former Osun State Governor and ex-Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, accusing him of displaying ingratitude towards President Tinubu despite what he claimed were the President’s significant contributions to Aregbesola’s political rise.
Although he did not elaborate on the specific grievances, Igboho criticised the former governor for allegedly failing to reciprocate Tinubu’s support and loyalty.
Expressing confidence in the President’s political future, Igboho dismissed suggestions that Tinubu’s re-election bid could be thwarted, insisting that the President would complete two terms in office.
“Tinubu will complete his eight years by God’s grace. Nothing will stop him,” he declared.
